Sundance & Blossom

I found these lovely ponies from a sale on Instagram a few months ago! I fell in love with Sundance right away. She's quickly become one of my favorite ponies! Blossom is also adorable!
I've been very neglectful lately, so to make up for it I'll be trying to post everyday. I have recently picked up many new goodies!
Stay tuned!

Puppy & Kitty Surprise

I still remember the puppy and kitty surprise commercials from my childhood. I loved putting the baby puppies inside the mommy dog. These two babies were made a bit later to go with the main sets. Each baby came dressed in a little onesie where it would tell if the animal was a boy of girl. They also each came with a handheld item like a bottle, or pacifier. The puppy's missing his bottle but she's still adorable!

Takara Furry Families

A few weeks ago I won a lot of Furry Families sets from Takara on eBay. I was thrilled since I owned a few of these play sets when I was a little girl. I loved the Mole Family and the Kitty Family. I think it's so cute how each woodland family lives inside a different household object like a shoe or a tea kettle. Sorting these sets made me fall in love with them all over again!

Puppy and Pony Packages

The new year has been hectic so far, but I finally had a chance today to photograph some of my new sets. The first is one from the Littlest Pet Shop line called the Royal Palace Ponies. After a year and a half of collecting I realized I still did not own this set. It's very similar to the Ice Palace Ponies and the Royal Carriage Ponies. The ponies and puppy need to visit the pony salon, but I otherwise I am very happy with it! It's just missing one hair decoration.

This new find took me by surprise! Now that my Fairy Winkles collection is as complete as I think I can get it, I'm trying to find color variations within the sets. I was thrilled to find a lot on eBay with this MOC included. The seller agreed to sell it to me and I accepted! My loose set is quite best up, so I'm so happy to have a replacement!

And lastly some Puppy in My Pocket arrived from the UK. I am in love with all of them, but especially the dachshund!

Unreleased Fairy Winkles

An amazing find came in from overseas this week. I found a Kenner 1995 catalogue that showed all the toys for that year. I was thrilled to find that this book had four unreleased sets from the Fairy Winkles line that Kenner produced from 1993-1995. Below are some snapshots from the catalogue. So far I believe none of these sets were brought into production, but it's still amazing to see that this toy line had another direction that never came to fruition. It gives me something to dream about and hunt for.

Fakies and Ponies

A few days ago I got this awesome little fakie kitty from a member at the forum. I was super excited to find her since she matches my fakie puppy. Her eyes are pretty wonky but I'm in love!

I also couldn't resist photographing my fillies! They are all complete except for my Ruby Pony. I've very happy because I think I may soon be able to print the missing pieces like the blanket and stable  sticker using scans from the lovely members of the kenner forum! I can't wait to start experimenting!

And last but not least I found this awesome glass while shopping last week. It's new but has an adorable illustration of Sundance from My Little Pony. I couldn't resist, and my ponies approved as well!

New Year, New Toys to find!

It's been almost a year since I started my blog. It feels pretty good knowing I've been able to keep it going this long. There was a quiet period after my move, but I'm happy with where I am.
As a New Years a Resolution I'd like to keep posting and discovering new toys I loved as a kid! I have a few exciting things coming I can't wait to share! I'm most excited about some photos of a few unreleased sets from some of my favorite toy lines! To start the new year off, here are a few of my recent discoveries while rooting around in my parents attic.

Furry Families were these cute woodland animals that lived inside everyday objects like books, Jam Jars, Clocks and Teapots. They're a bit harder to find so I haven't been actively collecting them. Above is what I could find from the Mole and Mouse Family.

Here is what's left of my small collection from Mimi and the Googoos. These little babies could move their arms and could be found inside small objects, like cakes, burgers, and magic lamps.

I haven't photographed my Bubblins in awhile, but here they are again, with June Bride included.

This little guy is named Rascal Raccoon, he is a Smooshee from Fisher Price. Smooshees were small fabric animals you could smoosh into something. This guy came with a little stump you could smoosh him into. I don't remember much about these toys, but I must have had at least one.

Hamtaro

Although Hamtaro isn't from the 90's, I fell in love with them when I saw them at KB Toys. They had cute plush versions of these adorable hamsters, as well as cute playsets featuring different rubbery hamsters with small accessories. I'm unsure where the playsets are now, but this is what I've recovered. I think Hamtaro even inspired my sister and I to get two real Hampsters. Hamtaro was adorable and I have such fond memories of these toys, a few tv episodes, and even the game for my Game Boy Color. Here's a few pictures of my small collection:

Kitty Kitty Kittens

If you grew up in the 90's you probably remember Kitty Kitty Kittens. As a kid I would go to play group and a girl there had a bed full of these kitties. I remember laying there surrounded by marble purring fluffy kitties. I know I had a few of my own, but they continually made these for so many years, it's hard to know what year these were made. I just rediscovered  them in my childhood bedroom. I couldn't find any tags, but they still purred happily when I found them.

Surprise Surprise Puppy Surprise!

When I was little I was in love with puppy and kitty surprise. I remember fondly going to the toy store to pick out the Mommy Puppy I wanted, and then hoping there would be a lot of puppies inside her belly. This is what I have left of my childhood collection. I remember having some baby kitties where you could open their eyes using warm water. And I also loved the baby kitty dressed in her night time outfit with her bottle. I wouldn't mind collecting a few more of these, including Pony Surprise, but they are a bit pricey these days. Anyway here is my small collection.
