Today a small brown envelope arrived from the sweetest member at the MLP arena. Inside was this adorable little pony, Baby Bow Tie. Although I do collect My Little Pony, I've tried very hard to only collect a select few. With my current love of all things bows, how could I resist.

A few new boxes arrived just in time for the holidays! With a Christmas bonus from work I finally bought a few fakie LPS pieces I've been stalking on eBay for weeks.
I also found an awesome etsy listing for some MOC sets including this Itsy Bitsy Fakie Set, not a part of the LPS line.
The last package was from the holiday swap at the forum! This amazing custom set was made special for me by my partner and friend Cora! I love it! More pictures coming soon! Overall it's been a great Christmas!

Since I started collecting LPS I've been intrigued and haunted by the unreleased Country Fun Pets Families, including the Puppy, Kitty and Squirrel Families. I started looking for baity pieces so I could create this set for someone else who also fell in love with this set. Since we just had the Holiday Swap over at the Kenner forum, I figured it would be the perfect addition to her collection. I would love to try remaking the squirrels since the eyes threw me for a loop, but otherwise I'm super happy with how they turned out!
I also completed my cards for the Holiday Card Swap.
Along with the custom set I made a card to match.

Lately eBay shopping has been a bit slow. I did manage to win a few auctions for some vintage Puppy in my Pocket sets. I'm most excited about the Poodle family with mommy Blanche. I had this set as a kid and absolutely loved it! I couldn't resist putting in a bid, there was no competition so it's being added to my collection now.

I finally had a chance to go to Michael's Crafts this weekend to search for purple ribbon for my Ruby Pony. Since Ruby if very hard to come by, I've come to terms with the fact that I may never find her original ribbons. So I found something that I think looks just as lovely! I bought a whole role so if they come undone I can just cut a new pair. Here is my plucky little pony:
Now I just have to find a stable sticker and her blanket, it may take years, but that's ok! On my Christmas Break I plan on photographing all my Fillies together. Right now most of my ponies are in storage. But I'm super excited to finally put all the pieces I've acquired together.
In other news at the Littlest Pet Shop Forum I am hosting the Holiday Swap. I'm super excited to be putting together my swap partners box. I can't give away any hints, but I've been hard at work trying to create something special.

It's been awhile since I've posted but a few new packages arrived last week. I finally got my hands on the Merlin Littlest Pet Shop Sticker Book. It's the German version but I am super excited about it. It's in beautiful condition. Now I just need to finish collecting all the stickers.

I've been on a MOC kick lately and was super excited to find an MOC set of the Dazzling Hair Pets Dress Up Palace.

Last spring I won a giant lot on eBay. It cost me a substantial amount of money, and when it arrived it was in a huge box and took hours to go through and sort. It felt like christmas. And in that box happened to be three of the merpet sets. At the time I had barely seen them so I was thrilled to find them complete and in such nice condition. Flash forward and now I've managed to find another one mint on card. I couldn't pass this up when I saw it. As a kid the little mermaid was my favorite movie so I love all thing under the sea. This set is the Swinging Star Sea Monkey, who comes with a cute shovel, a smiling crab, and he swings on a piece of blue coral. These sets are cool because they come with Polly pocket like cases. You can just pack them up and take them anywhere.

Since I started collecting Vintage Littlest pet shop I've heard about the elusive Ruby Pony. I've seen her in a few auctions that all went well beyond my price range. I've seen her sell a few times way below what she normally goes for, and have been heartbroken to have missed her. She is a set I never actually believed I would find. I am so grateful to the wonderful girl who sold her to me. Her hair decoration is MIA at the moment but I'm hoping it will be found. But here is my very own Ruby Pony.

While discovering Scubidu Italian Charmkins I stumbled upon the small surprise mystery packs. These are similar to the surprise packages you can find today containing a blind bag Littlest Pet Shop, Legos, and other toys. I found both of these for a great price so I was happy to snatch them up. I have to open them since the curiosity may kill me, but here they are still unopened.
I am also very excited about a package on its way from Germany right now. I won't give away anything until it arrives, but it's something I never thought I would ever own, so I am biting my nails in anticipation until it gets here.

Today another package came in containing two MOC sets I found for a great price! One is the European Variant of the Slippy Seal, and the second is an MOC set of Pinto Pony. I also got another package containing a few more additions to my Puppy in my Pocket collection.

A few weeks ago I discovered that Hasbro released a line of Italian Charmkins called Scubidu. I was so excited to find a boxed set that included tons of colored charms that looked just like the characters I've come to love from the Charmkins toy line. There were even a few that I had never seen before including a shy turtle, and a cute deer. The set included string that I called gimp at summer camp. It really reminded me of some of the plastic charms I collected as a kid.

The Supper time guppies set is one that I never owned as a kid. I was able to find this set MOC, but ended up selling it off before moving. I regret selling it, but was so excited when I found this one in a lot on eBay. It was complete and in great condition. These adorable guppies sit on little plastic rods and revolve around the small sandcastle.

Turns out I spoke too soon last week. While I thought my fairy winkles collection was complete it turns out I was missing one set I thought I had. This hide n' play jewelry box came in a few variations I'm still hunting for but here is the most common variation. Here is Grins Fairy Winkes and tiny Dimples wee winkle in their own little jewelry box.
I'm hoping later this week I can get more colorful paper for my photos. I am really missing having a cute decorative backdrop.

Today a parcel arrived containing a piece I've been hoping to find for the past year. I was really hoping to find one MOC but I am so lucky I stumbled upon this one. The Kitty Be Mine necklace is a set from the Jewel Pets series from Littlest Pet Shop. This sweet kitty sits in a bassinet that hangs from a golden ribbon. This pink kitty was so adorable I got a bit carried away photographing her.

Since my entire collection is currently sitting in an attic, I'm very fortunate that I photographed my sets before. Since its Friday I figured it was time for Flashback Friday. The following sets are some of my favorites from my collection. The first is a set I know I owned as a child. A very special friend of mine found all the pieces and sent it to me for Christmas. I was overjoyed and it was an amazing gift! This set is the Ice Palace Ponies:
The next set is the Littlest Pet Shop Tea Set. As a kid I loved tea parties. My sister and I would dress up our cat, dog, hamsters, or just the nearest stuffed animals and invite them for a cup and a tea cake. I never owned this set as a kid, but my love for tea now just made me fall in love with it. It was produced the first time with detachable figures and then recalled. I wish I had that set, but this is the second one that was made.
The next two sets are from the newborn families collection. When I started collecting again last year I saw these and knew I had to find them. I didn't realize they were a bit more sparse, but two wonderful collectors sold me these two. The Fox family is missing the food bowl, which I later found but is not photographed. The second set is the Mommy and baby deer. I love both of these sets to pieces!

One of my favorite toys besides Littlest pet shop as a kid was Puppy in My Pocket. I had the puppy hotel and all my favorite puppies, including one I thought looked like old yeller. It would be a few years before I got my own puppy ( she never fit in my pocket though), so until then I had these. My childhood collection could be anywhere honestly. Sometimes my mom would throw out whole drawers full of things, so very few of my small toys survived. Here are a few of the puppies I've begun collecting again.
Recently I put many of my sets into storage so I do miss getting to look at them each day. These two took a long time to complete. The first is the Mommy Swan with Snuggling Babies set. This one is quite hard to find, and I ended up finding piece by piece. It's still missing one purple collar, but I also have it moc so I am not very worried. The second is the paw print club mail away puppies, kitties and bunnies. I most recently bought the puppies from the sweetest person and I am so happy to finally own them.
