Puppy and Pony Packages

The new year has been hectic so far, but I finally had a chance today to photograph some of my new sets. The first is one from the Littlest Pet Shop line called the Royal Palace Ponies. After a year and a half of collecting I realized I still did not own this set. It's very similar to the Ice Palace Ponies and the Royal Carriage Ponies. The ponies and puppy need to visit the pony salon, but I otherwise I am very happy with it! It's just missing one hair decoration.

This new find took me by surprise! Now that my Fairy Winkles collection is as complete as I think I can get it, I'm trying to find color variations within the sets. I was thrilled to find a lot on eBay with this MOC included. The seller agreed to sell it to me and I accepted! My loose set is quite best up, so I'm so happy to have a replacement!

And lastly some Puppy in My Pocket arrived from the UK. I am in love with all of them, but especially the dachshund!

Fakies and Ponies

A few days ago I got this awesome little fakie kitty from a member at the forum. I was super excited to find her since she matches my fakie puppy. Her eyes are pretty wonky but I'm in love!

I also couldn't resist photographing my fillies! They are all complete except for my Ruby Pony. I've very happy because I think I may soon be able to print the missing pieces like the blanket and stable  sticker using scans from the lovely members of the kenner forum! I can't wait to start experimenting!

And last but not least I found this awesome glass while shopping last week. It's new but has an adorable illustration of Sundance from My Little Pony. I couldn't resist, and my ponies approved as well!

Kenner Forum Holiday Swap

Since I started collecting LPS I've been intrigued and haunted by the unreleased Country Fun Pets Families, including the Puppy, Kitty and Squirrel Families. I started looking for baity pieces so I could create this set for someone else who also  fell in love with this set. Since we just had the Holiday Swap over at the Kenner forum, I figured it would be the perfect addition to her collection. I would love to try remaking the squirrels since the eyes threw me for a loop, but otherwise I'm super happy with how they turned out!

I also completed my cards for the Holiday  Card Swap.

Along with the custom set I made a card to match.

And here is my swap package all ready to go! I had a great time putting it together!

A few new additions

Today another package came in containing two MOC sets I found for a great price! One is the European Variant of the Slippy Seal, and the second is an MOC set of Pinto Pony. I also got another package containing a few more additions to my Puppy in my Pocket collection.

Supper time Guppies

The Supper time guppies set is one that I never owned as a kid. I was able to find this set MOC, but ended up selling it off before moving. I regret selling it, but was so excited when I found this one in a lot on eBay. It was complete and in great condition. These adorable guppies sit on little plastic rods and revolve around the small sandcastle.

Kitty Be Mine Necklace

Today a parcel arrived containing a piece I've been hoping to find for the past year. I was really hoping to find one MOC but I am so lucky I stumbled upon this one. The Kitty Be Mine necklace is a set from the Jewel Pets series from Littlest Pet Shop. This sweet kitty sits in a bassinet that hangs from a golden ribbon. This pink kitty was so adorable I got a bit carried away photographing her.

Littlest Pet Shop Snapshots

Since my entire collection is currently sitting in an attic, I'm very fortunate that I photographed my sets before. Since its Friday I figured it was time for Flashback Friday. The following sets are some of my favorites from my collection. The first is a set I know I owned as a child. A very special friend of mine found all the pieces and sent it to me for Christmas. I was overjoyed and it was an amazing gift! This set is the Ice Palace Ponies:

The next set is the Littlest Pet Shop Tea Set. As a kid I loved tea parties. My sister and I would dress up our cat, dog, hamsters, or just the nearest stuffed animals and invite them for a cup and a tea cake. I never owned this set as a kid, but my love for tea now just made me fall in love with it. It was produced the first time with detachable figures and then recalled. I wish I had that set, but this is the second one that was made.

The next two sets are from the newborn families collection. When I started collecting again last year I saw these and knew I had to find them. I didn't realize they were a bit more sparse, but two wonderful collectors sold me these two. The Fox family is missing the food bowl, which I later found but is not photographed. The second set is the Mommy and baby deer. I love both of these sets to pieces!

Feeling Nostalgic

Recently I put many of my sets into storage so I do miss getting to look at them each day. These two took a long time to complete. The first is the Mommy Swan with Snuggling Babies set. This one is quite hard to find, and I ended up finding piece by piece. It's still missing one purple collar, but I also have it moc so I am not very worried. The second is the paw print club mail away puppies, kitties and bunnies. I most recently bought the puppies from the sweetest person and I am so happy to finally own them.
Also recently I sold some of my My Little Pony Collection. I would be lying if I said I didn't regret it a little. I loved restoring each one and trying my luck with curling their hair using colored straws.

Kissing Sea Bunny

It has been a long time since I've posted any new pictures of my collection. Things have finally settled down so here is the newest package I'm exited about. It's the Kissing Sea Bunny set from LPS mint in package. It's not in perfect condition but I'm very excited to add this to my collection

Brown paper packages

Two packages were waiting for me when I came home today. The first had my Krystal Princess Pegasus, and the second had a batch of Charmkins I had been waiting for. I was also able to photograph Peachy with her cute saddle and slippers. I really had a fun time taking a few group photos with different members of my collections.

While out picking up some shopping staples, I "stumbled" across some LPS G2 Blindbags. I decided to pick up two, just to test my luck. I ended up with a Musical Swan and Pig. They are growing on me, but I don't think I could ever religiously collect them. I just love the 90's Littlest Pet shop line too much. I do appreciate the broad spectrum of animals that the new pets are able to cover, but I just think they loose something by only really being adorable bobble heads. None the less I decided to photograph them.

Littlest Pet Shop

In the 90's Kenner made a line called Littlest Pet Shop. This was one of my favorite toys as a kid! I had the blue 1992 carrying case full of animals. At the time I was 3 so you can imagine I didn't keep my toys together very well. By the time I was 10 I realized that I had no idea where my LPS animals were so I conducted a house wide search to find anything from the Littlest Pet Shop line. All I could find was maybe 10 random pieces. I was pretty sad but put them away in a box and figured I would keep looking. It wasn't until June of this year when I started buying them on eBay. Since then I've become a bit obsessed and have gone beyond my wildest LPS dreams. A few of my favorite sets are below. I was lucky enough to win a lot with the Merpet sets which are quite hard to come by. Even though I didn't own these as a kid, I'm sure I would have loved them!

Swingin' Sea Star Monkey

Allure of Vintage Toys: Charmkins

In the last six months I've fallen in love with Vintage 80's and 90's toys. The most recent attraction has been Hasbro's line of Charmkins from the 80's. I'm still waiting for a few more packages from eBay, but until then here are some sneak peaks of my collection.

The Charmkins decide to visit a few other toys.
